I went to the studio with no agenda, a handful of wooden ribs, and a poll to my community: which rib should I use? The Owl shaped one was the winner for this piece. Then my community voted again for the glaze. But this is the twin that I soda-fired. And she turned out beautiful! It makes a cute succulent planter or perhaps a catchall bowl. I hope these bring a little bit of fun and whimsy to your everyday moments. This piece is truly one-of-a-kind as it was entirely handmade and glazed in a soda kiln. The photos do this no justice as the soda firing process results are best viewed and felt in person.
